It is located on the coast of the Río de la Plata, 12 km east of the Punta Negra resort. It is bordered to the east by Punta Ballena and to the west by Ocean Park, from which it is separated by the Arroyo El Potrero. This stream carries water from Laguna del Sauce to the Río de la Plata.
